Invisible Hand is looking for a freelance Talent Lead for our rapidly growing agency. Our team’s mission is to use culture, the network effect, and live experiences to meet our client’s goals. Our client roster includes Spotify, PBS, Emerson Collective, Omidyar Network, Equality Federation, and many more.
You are a self-starter, motivated by learning, able to work quickly, and a creative problem solver with incredibly strong communication skills and a “passion for polish.” Candidates should be comfortable working in a startup environment.
Here’s a sampling of what you’ll do day-to-day:
Source and recommend talent and/or influencers for outreach based on the objectives of the program and existing knowledge of talent priorities / interests
Lead all aspects of outreach, including sourcing contact information, authoring ask letters, tracking status and follow ups, etc.
Own relationship mapping for super VIP contacts, cross referencing with clients and Founder as necessary
Secure confirmations from talent, negotiating honorarium, riders, etc.
Manage the talent relations process through contracting, payment processing, briefing, etc. with support from the broader team
Here's what we're looking for:
You have at least seven years’ relevant experience
You have direct relationships with talent, vs. relying mainly on publicists and agents
You have experience engaging talent in impact programs, often with low or no honorarium vs. booking for appearances or ad campaigns
You can be left to your own devices but also know how/when to keep agency leadership informed.
You are a strategic thinker and leader who can act as a trusted partner to agency leadership.
You exhibit professionalism and integrity, leading by example, treating people with respect, and seeking and giving constructive feedback.
You have excellent written and oral communication skills. You are a great listener; communicate concisely and evocatively in written text; and can hold your own with super VIPs
You are able to manage competing demands and the moving pieces of multiple complex projects, yet remain unflappable under deadline pressure.
Invisible Hand is proud to have a diverse, inclusive team. At IH, we don’t just celebrate our differences, we thrive on them. Our goal is to continue to create a workplace that fosters and champions diversity of thought, lived experience, and perspective, and we encourage people of all backgrounds to apply to join our team.
